MPJH Cheerleaders Qualify for National Competition
The Mount Pleasant Junior High cheerleaders competed in an NCA Virtual competition in November with the goal of qualifying for Nationals. NCA virtual competitions allow programs to submit recordings of their routines to be scored by an NCA trained judging panel. MPJH filmed their competition routines on Thursday, November 14 in the old gym at Mount Pleasant High School. On Saturday, November 23 they learned that their final score earned them a bid to the National competition.
They will compete in Crandall this Saturday, December 7, and again at the NCA State of Texas competition at the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center in Dallas on Saturday, December 14. The NCA National competition will take place January 24-26, 2025, in Dallas. They are coached by Leigh Baker and Karissa Lopez.
