Once again the MPHS and MPJH Cross Country teams did an amazing job at the Pine Tree Pudding Cross Country Meet. The Varsity boys and girls each took 2nd place and the Junior Varsity boys and girls took 1st place.

A total of 49 Jr High boys(16) and girls (29) attended the meet in Kilgore, TX. The boys came out in 1st place with a combine score of 29 points.

The top five runners for the boys were:

Geovanni Calderon- 12:03 (2nd)
Fransico Equihua – 12:18 (3rd)
JD Mendoza – 12:36 (5th)
Jacob Botello 6:22 (8th)
Jonathan Sandate 12:46 (10th)

There were a total of 196 middle school boy runners at the meet.

Overall as a team the girls got 4th place(85), three points behind the number one team, Hallsville(82).

The top five girl runners were:

Virginia Landaverde -15:27 (10th)
Xitali Rivas – 15:47 (16th)
Leilani Jimenez – 15:58 (18th)
Arlette DeJesus – 16:15 (23rd)
Kali Marshall – 15:50 (31)

There were a total of 204 middle school girl runners at the meet.
