Precious Thompson, daughter of Keith Thompson and Kitsha Cannon, is the recipient of the Wade Stinson Memorial Athletic Scholarship.  She is a four-year varsity softball and volleyball player.  She also played basketball and ran track for one year.

Thompson was the District MVP in softball her junior year and was a member of the All-District 2nd team in softball her freshman and sophomore years.  She was awarded All-District first team and All-State Honorable Mention in volleyball her junior year.  She is also a member of National Technical Honor Society and Family, Career and Community Leaders of America.  Thompson plans to attend Texas A&M – Commerce in the fall on a softball scholarship and plans to major in social work.

Mrs. Debbie Stinson presented her with the scholarship in memory of her son Wade, who played baseball, basketball, and football.  He was an outstanding athlete who played from the heart in all of his sports.  Wade also loved riding horses, shooting guns, and going to the lake.  He was an awesome young man that was a friend to everyone he met.  The scholarship was established in his memory by his many friends.
