“I was proud of this group and what they achieved last night,” said Coach Blake Lodes. “It’s almost unheard of to go to a meet with 4 kids, when other teams have 10+, and win! Bad things happened throughout the night that they reacted well to. They were great competitors and great teammates. Shoutout to our wrappers, Daniel Castillo and Miguel Gonzalez, because without them we wouldn’t have accomplished much. I’m really excited to go to Abilene with these guys for State in 2 weeks!”
The Texas High School Powerlifting Association State meet is March 21-22 in Abilene.
