The Martha Laird chapter of the National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) selected 2023 Mount Pleasant High School senior, Natalie Crockett, as the chapter winner of the DAR Good Citizen award. Out of multiple entries from local schools, Crockett has won a $500 scholarship, a certificate and pin, and advanced to the state contest.

The Martha Laird Chapter of the National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution sponsors the DAR Good Citizen program in our area. The contest is designed to honor an outstanding young person in a high school’s senior class who demonstrates the four qualities of a DAR Good Citizen: dependability, service, leadership, and patriotism.

Crockett will attend The University of Texas at Austin in the fall and major in Biochemistry. She is the daughter of Rob and Mariela Crockett.
