The Mount Pleasant High School National Honor Society (NHS) and Texas Association of Future Educators (TAFE) worked together on December 16th to help a CPS-CASA rainbow room that helps children and families in our community. CASA is a non-profit organization that helps kids in the foster care system when their home is no longer safe.

Aimee Sweeden is the advisor of TAFE that has a team of three members: Monserrat Rivero-Sanchez, Ruby Ferretiz, and Mireya Villarruel that are working on a community service project the main goal is to help CASA collect items that are needed.

Monserrat and Ruby are also members of NHS and one of their advisors, David Clark, offered help from NHS, all members decided to give a budget to CASA so they can use it for their necessities!

Right after school on December 16th David Clark, Monserrat Rivero, and Ruby Ferretiz went to Walmart to meet with Uylonda Valentine CPS worker to be able to get the items that they are needing.
