The Mount Pleasant High School UIL Math and Science teams competed in the East Texas Showdown at Sabine High School on Saturday, March 5. MPHS claimed 1st and 2nd place in two categories and earned several individual medals.

Overall: Isaac Hernandez 2nd, Param Poudel 3rd, Nathaniel Martinez 5th

In their final meet before district, the MPHS Math and Science Teams will compete at the Texas Math and Science Coaches Association State Meet in San Antonio on March 19 during spring break. The District Meet is March 26. The MPHS math and science teams are coached by Osias Hernandez, Randy Ballard, and Larry Russell.
