On Thursday, October 23, the MPHS Business students got hands-on experience running their own business. When the year began, students brainstormed ideas, one of those being an auto detailing business.

The students created a business plan including supplies, price, time management, customer service, and marketing, including a student-created commercial. Detailing was offered to members of the Mount Pleasant High School staff on Thursday, October 23rd. For $40, staff members could have their cars cleaned, inside and out, while they worked! Part of the proceeds will go to the Communities in Schools Angel Tree this December.

“I want to extend my sincere thanks for your support during our first Auto Detail event,” said Business teacher, Raquel Yanez. “The event was a success, and we truly appreciate everyone who helped us make it possible. Your participation gave our students a valuable hands-on experience and helped them understand the importance of professionalism and customer service in the business world. Without your support this event could not have been possible. And a special thanks goes to Zac Rolf and our Audio-Visual students for helping us with the commercial.”
