For the third time this year, the Mount Pleasant High School Academic UIL team brought home the first-place trophy. This time it was from the Sulphur Springs Meet where the MPHS team beat 27 teams. They earned over 500 points in beating District rival and host team Sulphur Springs.

Mt. Pleasant took first place in Calculator Applications, Journalism, Mathematics and Science. The team placed second in Accounting and Computer Science.

“I continue to be amazed at the dedication of our students and their coaches,” said MPHS Academic UIL Coordinator Regina Crouch.

“Instead of resting on their successes, they work extremely hard preparing for these meets. It takes a lot of time and their efforts are paying off!”
