The Mount Pleasant High School Tiger Dolls competed in their second competition of the year at the Showtime International Texas State Championship at Legacy High School in Mansfield on Saturday, February 18. At the end of the day, the Dolls would bring home 21 awards including several highest scoring routine awards.

The Tiger Doll team earned 10 awards in total: Sweepstakes, Judges Awards in Pom, Lyrical and Hip Hop, Best in Large Team category in Pom, Lyrical and Hip Hop, Supreme awards for Lyrical and Hip Hop (1st place in their category), and Team Champions Circle for being one of the top scoring teams in the entire competition.

The Officer squad also brought home 9 awards: Sweepstakes, Judges Awards in Lyrical, Jazz and Hip Hop, Best in Large category in Lyrical and Hip Hop, Supreme awards for Lyrical and Hip Hop (1st place in their category), and Officer Champions Circle for being one of the top scoring officer squads in the entire competition.

Captain Chloe Carter in the high school solo category and freshman Morgan Zepeda in the junior solo category each received awards for being among the top soloists in their respective age divisions.

The Tiger Dolls will attend their final competition of the season this weekend, the American Dance/Drill Team Lonestar State Championship in Georgetown. The Tiger Dolls are under the direction of Jaton Broach.
