The Mount Pleasant High School Colorguard held tryouts for the 2026-2027 school year on Thursday, April 16 in the Colorguard facility at MPHS. The 26-27 line features 7 officers, 44 members, and 2 managers for a total of 53.

The new officers are Captain Karyme Sanchez, Co-Captains Karen Mata and Gavin Hays, and Lieutenants Hannah Carr, Nyla Dumlao, Anna Lucio, and Sarai Paloblanco.

Line members include Karissa Alcaraz, Manny Almeida, Abiela Balatzar, Joselyn Barbosa, Sydney Beard, Kiara Bishop, Jordan Boyd, Victoria Brown, Alexa Castaneda, Lia Contreras, Nicholai Crabtree, Alahandra Craddock, Jackie Damian, Nataly Diaz Patino, Anayanzy Duron, Chrissyln Elliott, Moriah Eskew, Izzy Furnish, Caro Garcia, Jackie Garcia, Leanna Garrett, Esme Guerrero, Vicky Guiterrez, Hannah Hughes, Naomi Kimbro, Kali Landers, Jennifer Meeks, Grecia Molina, Allison Moreno, Flower Moreno, Kenly Moreno, Bernie Murillo, Alheli Ramirez, Catta Rodriguez, Ella Rosewell, Alondra Tapia, Abby Tolentino, Kristan Turner, Jamileth Valerio, Melanie Valle, Day Ventura, Jaretzy Villeda, Kaitlenn Washington, and Zoe Zuniga. Managers are Gabby McGill and Michelle Pineda.

The Colorguard will begin preparations for the 2026 marching show with choreography camp and two spin clinics in the summer. The MPHS Colorguard is under the direction of Marty Newman.
