The Mount Pleasant Tigers were in midseason form on Monday as they took 1st place in the second match of their fall schedule. The team of Matthew Peterson, Brady Sisk, George Burrows, Sam Sloan, and Kade Strickland torched the Sulphur Springs Country Club course for a team total 316 strokes. Paris was the next closest team, 15 strokes back, at 331.

Junior Matthew Peterson paced the Tigers shooting the third best score overall at 75. Kade Strickland finished in fourth place with a 77 and Brady Sisk finished 8th at 81. Burrows turned in an 83 and Sam Sloan finished the tournament at 86. Mount Pleasant had three golfers compete in the Medalist Division. Clayton Brison took the top spot with an 84, Mattew Tucker shot a 109, and Micah Tucker headed into the clubhouse with a 114.

The Lady Tigers competed in the Medalist division with Grelyn Goolsby posting an 82, good for third place overall. Sophie Greco turned in a 98.

The Tigers and Lady Tigers next tournament will be Oct 26 at the Tempest Golf Course near Longview. They are coached by Benny Blaser.
