The Mount Pleasant High School chapter of the TxPSTA has selected its officers for the 2020-2021 school year. Leading the organization are President Michelle Calderon, Vice-President Rosario Antolin, Secretary Jenny Flores, and Sergeant at Arms Arlette DeJesus.
TxPSTA is a student organization geared toward public service with emphasis on law enforcement, forensics, fire services and emergency medical services. The club meets every Monday after school to train on topics such as burglary of a building, fingerprinting, traffic stop, felony traffic stop, and domestic dispute. Club members react to real-world scenarios and put what they have learned about public safety to the test at the annual competition in Georgetown in November. The advisors for TxPSTA are SaDonna Parker in Forensics and Firefighting, and Ricky Chamness in Law Enforcement.
