MPJH and MPHS Cheerleaders Place in Crandall
The Mount Pleasant High School and Mount Pleasant Junior High Cheerleaders competed in the Crandall Invitational on Saturday, December 7 with both teams placing in the top three in their divisions.
MPJH competed in the Middle School Division with 9 other squads taking home the Championship, more than 9 points ahead of second. They also earned Best Band Chant, Best Fight Song, and Best Crowd Leading awards.
MPHS competed in the 5A division finishing in 3rd place, only .6 back from second place and .9 back from first.
The MPJH and MPHS Cheer Squads will compete again at the NCA State of Texas competition in Dallas in preparation for the UIL State Championships on January 17-18 in Fort Worth. MPISD Cheer is coached by Karissa Lopez and Leigh Baker.
