The Mount Pleasant High School Bass Fishing Team continued the 2024-2025 regular season at the Texas High School Bass Association (THSBA) tournament on Lake Tawakoni on Saturday, October 5. MPHS had ten boats of the 159 competing.

First for the Tigers, Joe Setina and Hayden Harvill placed 26th with four fish weighing 9.92 lbs. Close behind were Kamen and Khloe Dunn placing 30th with five fish weighing 9.68 lbs. Joseph Bell was 68th with two fish weighing 4.52 lbs. Xzavion Jenkins and Kendall McCoo came in 95th with one fish weighing 2.03 lbs. Just behind was Logan Holderness in 97th with 1 fish weighing 1.87 lbs. And just behind Holderness were Gunner and Karlee Rodgers with one fish weighing 1.78 lbs. The teams of Garrett Brown and Lance Albin, Rolston Morton and Jonathan Dalby, Donald Cole and Marshall Humber, and Ryan Burg and Walter Terrell also competed but were unable to reel anything in that day.

The MPHS Bass Fishing teams will compete at home on October 26 at Lake Bob Sandlin. Team members will be fishing for the chance to make it to the Regional tournament in April.
