Mount Pleasant High School Cosmetology Class Attends Premiere Hair Show
The Mount Pleasant High School Cosmetology II class attended the Premiere Hair Show in San Antonio, Texas, on September 15-16. This two-day event showcased the nation’s leading beauty industry network and offered world-class education. “For our students, it was an exciting first introduction to the professional beauty community, allowing them to experience the latest trends and innovations shaping the industry today,” said MPHS Cosmetology instructor, Aleshia Rivera.
Mount Pleasant High School offers three years of instruction in Cosmetology starting with an introductory course for sophomores, followed by Cosmetology I and Cosmetology II for juniors and seniors. Students completing the program can graduate with their cosmetology license at the same time as their high school diploma and immediately begin working in the cosmetology field.
