The Rotary Club gave every 3rd grader on the E.C. Brice Elementary School campus a free dictionary.
The staff and students at Vivian Fowler Elementary School thanked Jason Reid of State Farm Insurance this morning for his sponsorship of The Character Network programming. Mr. Phil Scudder and Mr. Rob Holiday volunteered their time to speak to our 2nd grade students about the Iditarod sled race in Alaska. Both men have attended the race several times and shared their pictures and experiences with the students who recently read the book "Akiak" by Robert J. Blake.
Our amazing students set a school record for donations this year. We will be making a $2,507.47 donation to this worthy cause. Thank you for all of your support. We would like to give a special shout out to coach Forest for spearheading our campaign!
Vivian Fowler 2nd grade students have currently been studying about the weather. They had a special visit from KTAL Chief Meteorologist, Todd Warren and were so excited to welcome him to Vivian Fowler Elementary.
Thursday, February 2 was the 100th day of the 2016-2017 school year. It is a tradition that kindergarten students celebrate their 100th day of elementary school. At Vivian Fowler Elementary School, kindergarten students dressed like 100-year-old folks.
January is School Board Recognition Month in Texas. During the January 17th School Board meeting MPISD Board members were presented with gifts from District campuses and certificates thanking them for their service to the District’s students and staff.
