MPJH & MPHS Cheerleaders place in top 5 at NCA Championship
The Mount Pleasant High School and Mount Pleasant Junior High Cheerleaders closed out the fall competition at the NCA State of Texas Championship in Dallas on Saturday, December 14 with both teams placing in the top five in their divisions.
MPJH competed in the Large Junior High/Middle School Game Day division with 5 other squads taking home 2nd place, just .5 behind 1st place.
MPHS competed with 24 other squads in the Large Varsity Game Day division finishing in 4th place, only .6 back from second place and .9 back from first.
The MPHS Cheer Squad will compete again at the UIL State Championships on January 17-18 in Fort Worth. MPISD Cheer is coached by Karissa Lopez and Leigh Baker.
