Four Mount Pleasant High School swimmers including seniors Reese Ball, Camdon Johnson, Jack Welborn, and junior Sophie Greco have been named to the Texas Interscholastic Swimming Coaches Association (TISCA) Academic All-State team. To be nominated, student athletes must be juniors or seniors and must have an overall GPA of at least 3.75.

Ball competed with Tiger Swim for four years. This is her second year to be named Academic All-State. She will attend the University of Oklahoma in the fall and major in English. Johnson participated in Tiger Swim and Dive during his senior year. He will attend the University of Texas at Austin and major in Biochemistry. Welborn swam for the Tigers for four years. This is his second year to be named Academic All-State. He will attend the University of Arkansas in the fall as a Finance major. Greco has competed with Tiger Swim for three years and will return for her senior year this fall.
