Eight Mount Pleasant High School Texas Association of Future Educators (TAFE) have advanced to state-level competition.

Andrea Beccera again advanced in Children’s Literature. She placed first in State in the category last year and advanced to the national competition.

Beccera teamed up with Madora Jemison to qualify for state in Researching Learning Challenges.

Jennifer Mora also advanced in two events. She advanced individually in Lesson Plan and Delivery and in Teacher Creative Materials. Mora advanced to National competition in Lesson Plan and delivery last year.

In Public Speaking, Nancy Ibarra advanced to state. Rosie Gonzalez and Angelica Marino teamed up to advance in Bulletin Board.

Dalia Calixto qualified for state in Teacher Creative Materials and Helena Rios advanced on by placing in job interview.

The state competition will be held in Arlington in February while nationals will be in the summer in Phoenix.
