Mount Pleasant High School selected senior, Tanner Marshall, as the school winner of the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) Good Citizen award. Marshall was presented a certificate and pin at the awards banquet on Monday, February 10, at St. Andrew Methodist Church.

The Martha Laird Chapter of the National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution sponsors the DAR Good Citizen program in our area. The contest is designed to honor an outstanding young person in a high school’s senior class who demonstrates the four qualities of a DAR Good Citizen: dependability, service, leadership, and patriotism.

Marshall will attend Texas A&M University in the fall and major in Engineering. He is the son of Judd and Courtney Marshall.
