The Mount Pleasant High School Tiger Dolls continued competition season at the Showtime International Metroplex Showcase at Argyle High School on Saturday, February 1. The Tiger Dolls competed in the Super category in team and officers and had individuals compete with solos and a small ensemble.

The Tiger Doll team earned a Sweepstakes award for receiving a score of 85 or better from each judge on each routine. They earned Judges awards for receiving a score of 90 or better from each judge on each routine. Their Team Lyrical earned Best in Category, and their Team Hip Hop and Pom were both 1st runners up. They received an Applause Award for Showmanship in Pom. Finally, they were named to the Champions Circle and earned Best of the Best Team 1st Runner Up, which was 2nd place of all high school teams at the competition.

The Officer squad of Audrey Fisher, Jalyssa Aguilar, Violet Castaneda, Dori Macedo, and Morgan Zepeda also brought home a Sweepstakes and Judges Awards. They earned Best in Category awards for their Lyrical and Hip Hop and 1st runner up for their Jazz. They won Supreme awards for having the highest scoring Lyrical and Hip Hop. Finally, they were named to the Champions Circle and earned Best of the Best of Officers 2nd Runner Up, which was 3rd place of all high school officers at the competition.

In the individual competitions, the duet of freshman, Marley Broach, and sophomore, Kenlee Jaggers, placed 2nd in the small ensemble division.

The Tiger Dolls will compete again on Saturday, February 15, at the American Dance/Drill Team Lost Pines Dance Showcase at Cedar Creek High School in Bastrop. They are directed by Jaton Broach.
