Thirty-five Vivian Fowler Elementary School 4th graders became members of the National Elementary Honor Society (NEHS) as the Campbell-Edwards-White NEHS Chapter held its 2025-2026 induction ceremony on Thursday, October 16. The Vivian Fowler NEHS chapter is named for two former Fowler teachers, Sandra Campbell and Sue Edwards, and one current teacher, Mae Lois White. Campbell and Edwards each taught at the school for 25 years while White has spent over 50 years of teaching at Fowler.

The ceremony was student led with multiple inductees participating in aspects of the event. Milani Sarabia welcomed everyone in attendance. Coral Torres led the pledges to the United States and Texas flags. Masen Coleman gave the invocation. Andrea Barboza introduced the Fowler administrators and the Faculty Council. Kaylee Rojo introduced the new officers including President Shedrick Brown, Jr., Vice President Justain Norman, Secretary Grace Bello, Treasurer Landon Blackburn, Parliamentarian Alexi Ayala, Reporter Coral Torres, and Keeper of the Book Nora Carroll. Chapter officers explained what it means to be a member of NEHS in the areas of scholarship, responsibility, service and leadership. Debra Williamson introduced the guest speaker for the program, Keith Shelton, who told the students about his dad, a machinist, and the value of hard work. And the students, dressed in black and white, said the NEHS pledge and received their certificates of membership.

Inductees into the Fowler NEHS Chapter are Uriel Alvarez, Alexi Ayala, Anthony Ayala, Sebastian Ayala, Israel Badillo, Andrea Barboza, Grace Bello, Jaylen Bello, Landon Blackburn, Shedrick Brown, Jr., Nora Carroll, Alan Ceballos, Masen Coleman, Willow Culpepper, Alberto De Santiago, Elijah De La Rosa, Zayleigh Duron, Brandon Flores, Lydia Guerrero, Jaylah Hargraves, Anahi Martinez, Christian Martinez, Mylah Moreno, Rahjah Moreno, Landon Morris, Justain Norman, Kevin Paloblanco, Emily Ramirez, Juan Ramos, Jr., Mathew Rojas, Kaylee Rojo, Milani Sarabia, Coral Torres, Khai Watkins, and Yamil Zavala.

Serving on the faculty council are Lisa Escobar, Evelyn Gallardo, Allyson Ingram, Destiney Jones, Marquita Jones, Eunise Obregon, and Mae Lois White. Debra Williamson serves as the Fowler NEHS Chapter Advisor. Vivian Fowler is led by Principal, Carrie McMinn, and Assistant Principal, Ritchell De La Hoya.
