Brice robotics teams attended the first competition of 2023 in Clarksville, Texas on Saturday January 7. These students built and programmed their own robots using kits provided by grants from the Mount Pleasant ISD Foundation! The Cowbots advanced to the second round with a two-motor drivetrain robot with an extra sweep attachment that allowed them to gather points by pushing the objects into the desired location on the competition mat. They also included a team designed rail to place on certain targets to gain greater success.

The Creative Unicorns showed extreme creativity in their build by adding a compact working claw to help gather the scoreable objects on the mat!

Both teams have been invited to the Robotics Invitational at Region 8 on January 27th, 2023. The Cowbot team members are Shane Dimon, Kolten Heeren, and Jocelynn Martinez, Kadence Stephens, Abraham Tovar, and Miguel Perez.

The Creative Unicorns are Emmalyn Thurman, Natalia Portales, Victoria Trejo, Adrianna De Santiago, Andre Medina and Myah Valdez. Brice robotics is facilitated by Jamie King. We are so proud of our Brice Robotics teams! Go Tigers!
