On Thursday, October 27th, the Mt. Pleasant Fire Department visited Corprew Elementary to speak to the students about fire prevention. Students at Corprew Elementary School have begun collecting coins for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. This has been an annual school fundraising event for several years. Corprew Elementary hosted Back to School Family Soccer Night. Parents, students and teachers enjoyed a fun-filled evening of soccer. Several games were played: K-2nd vs. parents, 3rd and 4th vs. teachers and other matches.
Parent nominations for MPISD’s gifted and talented program for students in grades kindergarten through four will be accepted September 19, 2016, through September 28, 2016. Parents may pick up nomination packets in the office at each campus beginning September 19, 2016. Packets should be returned to the school office no later than September 28, 2016.
Barn Hill Preserve, an Educational Animal Program, brought a variety of animals to Corprew Elementary. Representatives educated students on the animals’ habitat and diet. Students were very interested and asked many questions. At the end of the presentation, some students had an opportunity to take a picture with an animal of their choice. [...]
