Eight Mount Pleasant Independent School District Destination Imagination (DI) teams competed on Saturday, February 23rd at Poteet High School in Mesquite, Texas. MPISD celebrated "Read Across America Day" on Thursday, February 28th and Friday, March 1st in honor of Dr. Suess's birthday. Campuses read to their students in groups and local community members were invited to read to classes as well. Mr. Marshall enjoyed his time reading to students at Frances Corprew Elementary!

Corprew Elementary School 4th grader Lachlan Miles created a Solar Oven and compared the efficiency of electrical ovens, microwave ovens, and the solar oven when making s’mores. We are so proud of him for representing Frances Corprew at the Region 8 Science Fair!
January is School Board Recognition Month in Texas.
