This year, Corprew is participating in the nationwide event, The Great Kindness Challenge Week. This is a week dedicated to doing kind acts for others. It is a proactive and positive bullying prevention initiative that improves school climate and increases student engagement. Each child is provided a checklist of 50 kind acts and encouraged to complete as many acts as possible during the week.

To help encourage students to complete acts of kindness, the Corprew National Elementary Honor Society members are hosting a “Kindness Station” each morning throughout the week. At the kindness station, students are provided materials to complete a variety of kind deeds on the checklist. Some of these include making a kindness poster, creating a thank you for cafeteria staff, writing an encouraging note to a friend or family member, or handing out hearts with positive words on them. I have included some pictures of this morning’s event.

In conjunction with The Great Kindness Challenge Week, NEHS is also hosting a clothes/coat drive. Items collected will be donated to local charities at the end of the week.
