Thirty-six Corprew Elementary School 4th graders became members of the National Elementary Honor Society as the Corprew NEHS chapter held their annual induction ceremony on Thursday, October 10. NEHS recognizes 4th grade students for their outstanding academic achievement and demonstrated personal responsibility. The organization seeks to provide meaningful service activities for students to both the school and the community and to develop essential leadership skills in elementary school students.

Corprew Principal, Karen Williams, welcomed the guests in attendance. New members Lucas Ridenour and Kimberly Diaz led the pledges to the American and Texas flags. New member Hadassa Arroyo gave the invocation. Corprew Assistant Principal, Donna Smith, introduced the guest speaker, Mount Pleasant High School National Honor Society member, Sam Chappell. The chapter officers, President Kenley Collier, Vice President Ivan Cervantes, Secretary Ruby Ramirez, and Treasurer Jackson Bailiff explained the criteria for membership and the four characteristics of an NEHS member. And Corprew teacher, Bridget Arevalos, introduced each new member as they walked across the stage to receive their certificate from Williams.

The inductees into the Corprew NEHS Chapter are Kainan Abrego, Hadassa Arroyo, Morana B Goytia, Jackson Bailiff, Melani Bautista, Ivan Cervantes, Angel Chavelas, Kenley Collier, Kimberly Diaz, Serinity Douglas, Jakob Flores, Ava Garcia, Gabriel Garner, Isabella Gonzalez, Miliah Johnson, Gilka Landaverde, Daniel Lopez, Ana Lozano, Ramiro Martinez, Vanessa Martinez, Emmanuel Mayo, Angel Paco, Angelica Paco, Jose Tristan-Padilla, Victor Pineda, Oliver Quiring, Ruby Ramirez, Lucas Ridenour, Jonanxiel Rivera, Alyzah Rockwell, Gabriella Sunderland, Aldo Urbina, Micah Vazquez, Liam Villarreal, Kenia Villa Villa, and Liam West.

The Corprew chapter of the National Elementary Honor Society is advised by Counselor, Cassie George, with faculty council members Christie Ridenour, Tracey Collier, Aide Perez, and Vicki Lee.
