E.C. Brice Inducts Students into NEHS
Twenty-seven E.C. Brice Elementary School 4th graders became members of the National Elementary Honor Society (NEHS) as the Brice chapter held their induction ceremony on Tuesday, October 21 in the Brice gym. NEHS recognizes 4th grade students for their outstanding academic achievement and demonstrated personal responsibility. The organization seeks to provide meaningful service activities for students to both the school and the community and to develop essential leadership skills in elementary school students.
Brice Principal, Amanda Jones, and new NEHS President, Rowan McCollum, welcomed the guests in attendance. New member Eslyn Amador led the pledges to the American and Texas flags. Mount Pleasant High School senior and MPHS National Honor Society Secretary, Brissia Alvarez, was the guest speaker for the event. The chapter officers, President Rowan McCollum, Vice-President Ivan De Jesus, Secretary Serenity Peoples, and Treasurer Miranda Martinez explained the criteria for membership and the four characteristics of an NEHS member. And Brice NEHS Advisor, Chelsea Loftin, introduced each new member as they walked across the stage to receive their certificate from Jones.

Brice Elementary School NEHS Inductees for 2025-2026 are Iliana Amador, Eslyn Amador, Alyzah Cano, Jayden Castro, Timothy Chamness, Valentina Copado, Braxton Corbin, Ivan De Jesus, Stella Deal, William Lopez, Miranda Martinez, Rowan McCollum, Lucas Nino, Yareli Nino, Sarah Orona, Yoandrix Ortega, Serenity Peoples, Iker Perez, Diego Portillo, Santiago Reyes, Karina Rios, Riley Shea, Melanie Turner, Karim Valdez, Ava Waldrep, Jade Warden, and Camila Zuniga.
