Wallace Middle School fifth grade science classes met at Dellwood Park on Friday, October 13.\u00a0 The students worked with bottle caps, craft sticks, and marshmallows to construct a lever. Then, they were asked to work through specific instruction to apply force and draw conclusions based on their observations.\u00a0\u00a0 Christian Johnson is shown writing a reflection of an activity in his field journal. Students also used marshmallow poppers to investigate how force affects motion.<\/p>\n<p>Other stations included using a pulley system, investigating friction using different slides, and investigating how force, motion, gravity and friction are used on a swing set.
