{"id":9994,"date":"2024-02-26T14:42:49","date_gmt":"2024-02-26T20:42:49","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.mpisd.net\/mphs\/?p=9994"},"modified":"2024-02-26T14:42:49","modified_gmt":"2024-02-26T20:42:49","slug":"mphs-ffa-teams-compete-in-daingerfield","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.mpisd.net\/mphs\/mphs-ffa-teams-compete-in-daingerfield\/","title":{"rendered":"MPHS FFA Teams Compete in Daingerfield"},"content":{"rendered":"<h3>Members of the Mount Pleasant High School FFA competed at the Daingerfield Invitational CDE contest held at Daingerfield High School on Monday, February 19, competing in the Nursery\/Landscape division and in Veterinary Science.<\/h3>\n<h3>MPHS Nursery\/Landscape team members Michelle Ramirez, Jeseth Monreal, Xitlaly Sanchez, and Ana Bonilla placed 4th in their first time to ever compete in the event. For this event, students are required to take a written exam, identify plant materials and tools common to the industry, and evaluate groups of plants and landscape designs.<\/h3>\n<h3>The Veterinary Science team of Genevieve Rubio, Bowdrie Priefert, and Lakyn Fortenberry came in 10th place at their very first meet. In this event, students take a written exam, take a separate math applications exam, identify animal breeds, equipment, and anatomy, and demonstrate veterinary skills.<\/h3>\n<h3>\u201cI am so proud of these two teams.
