Both have advanced to the 5A State tournament in May.<\/h3>\n<h3>MPHS senior, Matthew Peterson, finished in 3rd place with a two-day total of 150 with freshman, Jacob Baker, finishing tied for 6th with a 154, advancing both to State. In addition, both Peterson and Baker were chosen for the All-Region golf team.<\/h3>\n<h3>\u201cThis is the first time I\u2019ve had two golfers on the same team make it to the state tournament,\u201d said MPHS Golf coach, Benny Blaser. \u201cIt\u2019s hard enough to get one golfer there, but two is an incredible achievement for Matthew and Jacob. I\u2019m a very proud coach knowing that two of the best golfers in the state of Texas play here at Mt.
