In order to audition, students had to prepare three technical pieces in the jazz style. Having only a few short weeks to prepare, each piece required a high level of skill, as well as a mastery of the jazz style.<\/h3>\n<h3>Those named to the All-Region Jazz Band include juniors Zo\u00eb Newman (2nd chair Alto Saxophone) and Orion Senence (3rd chair Trumpet).<\/h3>\n<h3>\u201cI\u2019m extremely proud of each student that auditioned,\u201d said MPHS Jazz Band Director, Jamey Sterrett. \u201cTheir hard work, and dedication to excellence continues to set them apart from all others.
