{"id":8035,"date":"2022-02-09T10:39:55","date_gmt":"2022-02-09T16:39:55","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.mpisd.net\/mphs\/?p=8035"},"modified":"2022-02-09T11:35:27","modified_gmt":"2022-02-09T17:35:27","slug":"mphs-powerlifting","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.mpisd.net\/mphs\/mphs-powerlifting\/","title":{"rendered":"MPHS Powerlifting Starts Season Off With a Bang"},"content":{"rendered":"<h3>Tiger and Lady Tiger Powerlifting started their season off in respectable fashion with a 1st place finish for the girls and a 2nd place finish for the boys at Sulphur Springs.<\/h3>\n<h3><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Lady Tigers<\/span><br \/>\n-Arlette DeJesus grabbed the top spot in her class, finishing in 1st place with a 495 lb total.<br \/>\n-Jordan West completed her day with a 2nd place finish in her class, totaling 415 lbs.<br \/>\n-Jasmine Landaverde, competing in her first meet ever, took 2nd place overall in her class with a 450 lb total.<br \/>\n-Zoe Zittle, also competing for the first time, finished in 2nd place in her class with a 465 total.<br \/>\n-Audrie Mendoza completed her day in 3rd place in her class with a 395 total.<br \/>\n-Alexandra Martinez grabbed a 2nd place medal in her class with a total of 650 lbs.<br \/>\n-Mariana Gonzalez placed 3rd in her class with a 580 lb total.<br \/>\n-Nayeli Jaimes finished 1st in her class with a 860 lb total, and a 210 lb bench press.<br \/>\n-Jenna Cook placed 2nd in her class totaling 615 lbs.<br \/>\n-McKinsee Oviedo took home 1st in her class totaling 650 lbs.<\/h3>\n<h3><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Tigers<\/span><br \/>\n-In the 123 class, David Chavez lifted a total of 770 lbs, good enough to place 2nd .<br \/>\n-In the 165 class, Oscar Otero finished with a total of 735 lbs, good enough for a 1st place finish.<br \/>\n-Elias Elizando began his season by taking 2nd in the 181 class with a total of 1120 lbs.<br \/>\n-In the 198 class, Ryder Marshall had a 3rd place finish totaling 890 lbs.<br \/>\n-Also in the 198 class, Esteban Trejo collected a 4th place finish by totaling 835 lbs.<br \/>\n-In the 220 class, Astin Ledbetter totaled 1125 lbs, good enough for a 3rd place finish.<br \/>\n-Also in the 220 class, Brazos Brown totaled 1110 lbs, finishing 4th.<br \/>\n-Finally in the 220 class, Karson Brown totaled 835 lbs, finishing 5th.<br \/>\n-In the 242 class, Clayton Miller grabbed a 1st place finish with a total of 1045 lbs<br \/>\n-Micah Shepherd took home a 3rd place finish in the 275 class with a total of 1155 lbs.<\/h3>\n<h3>The Tigers and Lady Tigers look to improve their individual standings in the Regional rankings every week they compete.<\/h3>\n<h3>The top 12 lifters in every weight class at the end of the regular season will move on to compete in the Regional Championships.<\/h3>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Tiger and Lady Tiger Powerlifting started their season off in respectable fashion with a 1st place finish for the girls and a 2nd place finish for the boys at Sulphur Springs.
