The win keeps the Lady Tigers in the hunt for the district championship with their final game against Pine Tree on Friday.<\/p>\n<p>Both teams struggled to score out of the gate with Marshall staking a 4-1 lead after the first quarter. Mount Pleasant opened the second quarter with an 8-3 run to take the lead but the Lady Mavericks would counter with a 10-1 run to take a 17-10 lead at the half. The third quarter would be a battle with the Lady Tigers winning the quarter by 2 points to cut the lead to 23-18. A 7-0 run by Mount Pleasant to start the final quarter would give them the boost they needed to take the lead and outscoring Marshall 23-11 to secure the win.<\/p>\n<p>Paris Beard led all scorers with 18 points and 6 steals followed by Autumn Jackson&#8217;s 11 points and 8 rebounds. Kendall Walker added 6 points along with Aunesti Brannon&#8217;s 3 points. Also scoring was Amiah Thornton 2 points and Jordyn Hargrave 1 point.<\/p>\n<p>The Lady Tigers will finish their season at Pine Tree on Friday as it looks like they will finish in three-way tie for first with Hallsville and Sulphur Springs.
