Pleasant High School Goin\u2019 Gold Band members have earned placement in the All-Region Honor Jazz Band: three Juniors (Carlos Lopez \u2013 trombone, Jose Martinez \u2013 trumpet, and Maria Mendez \u2013 trombone) and four Seniors (Jesus Garrett \u2013 trombone, Addison Hunter \u2013 bass guitar\/upright bass, Blake Moulton \u2013 Drums and Allan Ruan \u2013 alto saxophone). This is the second year in a row that Garrett, Hunter and Mendez have earned position in the All-Region Jazz Band.<\/p>\n<p>The seven Mount Pleasant High School members make up 41% of the All-Region Jazz Band. MPHS students earned one of the two alto saxophone positions, one of the four trumpet positions, three of the four trombone positions, the only drummer and only bass guitarist in the band.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAuditioning for the All-Region Jazz Band is not easy.
