Precious Thompson, daughter of Keith Thompson and Kitsha Cannon, is the recipient of the Wade Stinson Memorial Athletic Scholarship.\u00a0 She is a four-year varsity softball and volleyball player.\u00a0 She also played basketball and ran track for one year.<\/p>\n
Thompson was the District MVP in softball her junior year and was a member of the All-District 2nd team in softball her freshman and sophomore years.\u00a0 She was awarded All-District first team and All-State Honorable Mention in volleyball her junior year.\u00a0 She is also a member of National Technical Honor Society and Family, Career and Community Leaders of America.\u00a0 Thompson plans to attend Texas A&M \u2013 Commerce in the fall on a softball scholarship and plans to major in social work.<\/p>\n
Mrs. Debbie Stinson presented her with the scholarship in memory of her son Wade, who played baseball, basketball, and football.\u00a0 He was an outstanding athlete who played from the heart in all of his sports.\u00a0 Wade also loved riding horses, shooting guns, and going to the lake.\u00a0 He was an awesome young man that was a friend to everyone he met.\u00a0 The scholarship was established in his memory by his many friends.<\/p>\n
