Andrea received a IV which is an Exemplary rating with a perfect score of 20. This is a mixed media piece that has drawing with various items and attached pieces. Her piece is called \u201cThe System.\u201d\u00a0 It is about many tragic events in the environment. Also, the influence of politics, technology, war, and immorality.<\/p>\n
Comments from Diego\u2019s Judge: \u201cYour composition is really strong and attention to detail is great! The way in which the figure is handled is very Proficient! The use of grayscale really adds to the image \u2013 keep up the good work!\u201d<\/p>\n
Diego also received a IV, Exemplary rating with a perfect score of 20. This piece is a drawing with extreme realism. His piece is called \u201cNew Slave.\u201d As a viewer you might think he is referring to the baby however, when you understand the meaning you will find that he is actually speaking of the older man in the picture.\u00a0 It is about the relationship between a grandchild and a grandparent. As a grandparent that would give and do anything for their New Grandchild and the love they feel for them.<\/p>\n
I am so excited to see what these two talented artist come up with next! It has been a privilege to help guide and cultivate their talents so far. I am so thankful for my career here at MPHS working with all these young artists!<\/p>\n
