Over 1200 districts were eligible to apply for this award but only 109 earned the distinction, placing MPISD in the top 9% of districts in Texas in art education. The districts received the honor for providing a well-rounded education that advocates and integrates visual arts curriculum to inspire creativity and build social emotional learning that connect learners to their community and beyond.<\/h3>\n<h3>Honorees met or exceeded a rigorous 14-point rubric.
