The Mount Pleasant High School Tiger Swim team opened its season at the 9th annual Grace Cougar Invitational at the East Texas Aquatics Center in Tyler on Saturday, October 4. Eleven schools participated entering 2-3 swimmers in each event. All MPHS swimmers earned points for the team with the boys finishing 5th and the girls 7th overall.<\/h3>\n

Earning points for the boys were:<\/h3>\n

\u00b7 Alessandro Greco (12) – 3rd place medalist 50 Freestyle; 5th place 100 Backstroke<\/h3>\n

\u00b7 Cohen Gillean (11) \u2013 6th place 100 Freestyle; 6th place 100 Backstroke<\/h3>\n

\u00b7 George Fite (10) – 4th place 100 Butterfly<\/h3>\n

And for the girls:<\/h3>\n

\u00b7 Ava Fite (12) \u2013 7th place 50 Freestyle; 8th place 100 Freestyle<\/h3>\n

\u00b7 Logan Latiolais (9) \u2013 5th place 50 Freestyle<\/h3>\n

\u00b7 Emelia Ethridge (11) \u2013 8th place 100 Backstroke; 8th place 100 Breaststroke<\/h3>\n

Tiger Swim will compete in the TISCA Invitational in Texarkana on November 21-22. They are coached by Jerilyn Goolsby.<\/h3>\n
