Pleasant ISD Foundation. The engineering students designed and created plans for robotics tables to hold the new VEX robot fields being used by MPISD elementary school students. The construction students then took those plans and built four tables measuring more than 6 feet wide and more than 8 feet long. Each table consisted of four separate pieces on casters that are bolted together so they can be moved when needed. The tables were delivered to Wallace Middle School, and Brice, Corprew, and Fowler Elementary campuses.

“The tables are an amazing addition to our growing robotics program,” said elementary robotics advisor, Jamie King. “The accessible storage allows students to quickly and safely store their robotic kits. The height protects the arena and allows our students to practice on a raised competition field similar to what teams use at World competition, which will be in St. Louis Missouri next year. Our robotics students were so excited to see these tables. Students can feel it when their hard work is valued and that’s exactly how these tables make them feel! We are thankful for Mr. Jones and his amazing students!”

Photo: Mount Pleasant High School students with one of the tables they built for MPISD Elementary Robotics

The Mount Pleasant High School Engineering and Construction classes recently teamed up on a project for the elementary campuses funded by the Mt.
