The Mount Pleasant High School UIL Academic team continued its fall season on November 2 at the Walk the Plank Invitational at Pine Tree and on November 9 at the Whitehouse Thanksgiving Classic. MPHS was the 2nd place team overall in Whitehouse and won two 1st place category awards, eight 2nd place category awards, and numerous individual medals.<\/h3>\n

\nNext up for MPHS UIL, the spelling and current events teams will compete in Waco on November 16 and the math team will close out the semester in Highland Park on December 6-7. The teams are coached by Gina Crouch, Osias Hernandez, Jack Jones, David Clark, Joel Whitaker, John Whitten, Kim Cox, Larry Russell, Randy Ballard, and Tammy Thomas.<\/h3>\n
