Biography
I was born and raised in Mt. Pleasant, Texas. I attended West Ward Elementary 1st through 6th grade. Years later the campus was renamed Vivian Fowler Elementary. My father attended West Ward as well. I graduated from Mt. Pleasant High in 1976. I received my Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies from East Texas State University and Master of Education from A&M University – Commerce. I began my teaching career at Chapel Hill Elementary. I taught in Mt. Pleasant at P.E. Wallace Junior High and P.E. Wallace Middle School after the campuses were realigned. For the past six years, I served as Principal at Chapel Hill Elementary. I have been married to my husband, Danny for twenty-nine years. I have three grown children and five wonderful grandchildren. My passion is working with children. I love to spend time with my family, working in my yard, and read. I look forward to a great year working with the exceptional staff and students on the Fowler campus. I feel privileged to be part of the process of taking Vivian Fowler Elementary to exemplary status.
