Class of 1941
Jack & Colette Huffman In September, following my 1941 graduation from MPHS, I enlisted in the Army Air Corps where I served until January 1946. Two years at Texas A & M College were followed by my employment at Red River Army Depot, where I worked until my retirement. I am married, for over 50 years, to the former Colette Ray, a 1946 graduate of MPHS. As a transferee from Cookville High School, I attended MPHS for only 3 years, but I have many memories, all great, of those years, and I revisit them often. Our e-mail address is huffmans7@valornet.com.
"P. S. I've yet to see an independent school district's web site as good as MPISD's."

John Peacock I would have graduated in the class of 1945, but just as WWII broke out we moved to San Diego and I graduated from high school there. In 1990 I made a rare trip back to Mt Pleasant and discovered that a reunion of the class of '45 was being held so I attended and was surprised to find so many who remembered me. I knew practically everyone in attendance, many of whom have since died. I am surprised that none from that class have responded to this page. Hopefully some will soon. Should a contact be desired I'd like to hear from you at johnpeacock@nctimes.net I still live in the San Diego area.

But his best memory was the LAST DAY! Ronnie1alicia@aol.com.
After graduating from MPHS in 1988, I spent a year and a half at Tyler Jr. College in Tyler, TX. This is where I met my husband and brought him home to Mt. Pleasant to raise our son. My son, Matthew, is a Senior at MPHS and the highlight of my day. He is actively involved in both the Goin’ Gold Band and the choir. On top of those two activities, he is a member of the MPHS Jazz Band and played football this past fall for the MPHS Tigers. (He was one of the four that would run back to the field during halftime to perform with the band) I am overly proud of him as he will be leaving in the fall to major in Music at Liberty University in Lynchburg, VA.
Currently, I teach K-5 music and 6-8 English at Winfield. I am coming to the end of my second year with Winfield and plan to be back in the fall. I am also taking graduate courses from Liberty University and majoring in Marriage and Family Therapy, with plans to obtain my LPC license and open a Christian Counseling office in Mt. Pleasant. anglandrum@gmail.com

I really loved putting together the Prism (Creative Writing Publication) with my best friend and co-editor Erica McCord. We spent many hours in the Print Shop with Mr. Sadler getting things just right. I really felt like I had accomplished something then, and Creative Writing was my passion. I also remember dancing at the Cinco de Mayo celebration with other students from Mrs. Wahlert's Spanish class. And the trip that we made to San Antonio was great! I am now working for Andersen Consulting in the area of communications & high tech & am currently in Raleigh, North Carolina on a telecommunications project most likely through December of 2001. I have been dating an AWESOME guy here in Raleigh for 9 months now & hopefully will drag him back to Texas with me one day! High School was so much fun & I had so many great memories. The one that sticks out best in my mind is the following: In yearbook class, we were given passes to go & sell yearbook ads to the public for a few days out of the year...Well, not only did I keep my pass, I found an extra for Kaycee Moreland. We would walk out of yearbook pretending to go work elsewhere, would hop in my car, and we were outta there! We would come back to school 2 or 3 hours later. This happened almost on a daily basis. We had to hide out from the parents and while out, many times ran into Garrett Redfearn & Travis Prefeirt @ El Chicos. Fun times. Hope you all are doing well! Please email me & let me hear from you: jenmccauley@yahoo.com
Damon McCullar My favorite memory of High School was being Drum Major of the Goin' Gold Band for my junior and senior years. It was a lot of work, but well worth it. I have a lot of pleasant memories from those years and the lessons I learned there have carried through my life since. Also, I cherish the memories of some of my educators. George Leonburger is the one that comes to mind. He is the best educator that I have ever met in my life and he also taught me a lot about life. What I'm doing now: I am currently an Electrician's Mate 1st Class. I have switched degree programs and schools. I am now working on a Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering Technology from Old Dominion University and have just started my junior year. I currently live in Virginia Beach, VA. DCMcCullar77@aol.com

I think I can speak on the behalf of most of the class of '96 when I say the most memorable day we had was on our "Senior Skip Day" I think the whole town remembers that. Despite all the hell that was to follow-it was quite worth it. And of course the new and improved rendition of Great Balls of Fire done by Garrett Redfearn, Jeff Clark and Clay Harrell was unforgetable!! Sure doesn't feel like 5 years that's for sure. Well if anyone wants to say hi my email address is kaycee_moreland@hotmail.com Hope everyone is doing well!
