Sims Earns Gold Performance Award

Annie Sims Elementary received one TEA Gold Performance Award for 2008-2009. The campus received the award for Commended Performance in Reading/English Language Arts (ELA).
"For a school to receive a commended performance in Reading/English Language Arts, at least 30 percent of students on the campus in five different groups had to score at the commended level on the Reading/ELA TAKS tests, an increase from 25 percent last year" said Regina Conroy, MPISD Deputy Superintendent for Curriculum and Instruction.
