•Awarded the bid for Property Casualty Insurance for 2009-2010 to the Texas Association of School Boards (TASB). They had the low bid and have served the district well in the past, including the repair of flood damage to the Corprew library and the replacement of library books and supplies.

•TEA TAKS Accountability Appeal:
Superintendent Terry Myers reported that the appeal to TEA to raise MPISD to a Recognized status based in 4 Exemplary campuses and 2 Recognized campuses and one Academically Acceptable campus had been denied. A portion of the funds will be used to repair awnings and increase parking at the CDC and CLC and to fix portions of the Fieldhouse.
