MPISD Received Suddenlink Donation
The table top in the Mount Pleasant ISD
Community Room was piled high with school supplies: notebooks,
binders, glue, glue sticks, rulers, construction paper, manila
paper, pens, erasers, facial tissue, notebooks, rulers, zippered
supply bags, antiseptic wipes, crayons and scissors.
Suddenlink Communications donated all the
bounty to the district. Suddenlink collected the supplies from
local Mount Pleasant area customers and then matched with
supplies.
“We’re pleased to help collect these much
needed school supplies,” said Mount Pleasant area System Manager
Jeff Radcliff. “It is so important that children have the tools
they need to begin the school year on the right foot.”
Terry Myers, MPISD Superintendent of
Schools thanked the company and said, "We are thrilled to accept
these school supplies. We have many students who are low income and
on free and reduced lunch. These supplies will help those young
people have the things they need. We are going to have our campus
Communities in School representatives come by and get the supplies
they need for their campuses. We really appreciate the generosity
of Suddenlink and their customers."
