MPHS Students Win Awards from TASSP
Mount Pleasant High School 2008
graduates Jaynee Guest and Jennifer Traylor have received awards
from the Texas Association of Secondary School Principals.
Guest, the daughter of Greg and Susy Guest,
was named a Commended Scholar by TASSP. She received the award
based on her exceptional academic Achievements through four years
of high school. She graduated third in her class and will attend
Texas A&M - College Station to major in history.
Traylor, the daughter of Mark and Denice
Traylor, was named one of 30
TASSP Teens Serving Texas finalists in the state of Texas. Traylor
received the award because of her record of community service and
academic achievement. Traylor graduated second in her class. She
will attend Texas A&M College Station and major in biomedical
science or business.
In presenting the awards, MPHS Principal
David Davis said, "These two young ladies represent what is great
about Mount Pleasant High School. They are committed to their
academic studies as well as to extracurricular activities and
community service. I was proud to nominate them for these
awards."
