Juniors who plan to apply to a four-year college or university or for a college scholarship should take the ACT or SAT during the spring semester of your junior year.
TOPCAT -Texas Online Preparation for College Admissions Tests

Are you THEA exempt?
Yes! if you meet one of the following criteria:
ACT composite score of 23 with a minimum of 19
on both Math and English
SAT combined verbal and math score of 1070 with
a minimum of 500 on each
TAKS score of 2200 in math and/or 2200 in
reading with a writing score of at least 3 in English Language Arts
(ELA).
