Mt. Pleasant Community Scholarship
This annual scholarship has been established to provide tuition for Mt. Pleasant High School and Chapel Hill High School graduates. The scholarship will cover resident tuition and fees for up to 12 hours for the top 10% of Mt. Pleasant and Chapel Hill graduating classes. Remaining students will receive resident tuition for up to 12 hours. Those students will be required to pay fees. Students must enroll full-time for the fall semester following graduation. Applications are available from the Mt. Pleasant High School and Chapel Hill High School counselors’ office or from the NTCC Financial Aid office. Applications will be available in the spring.

A number of local organizations, businesses, and individuals provide scholarships to students through the Northeast Foundation. These scholarships are awarded by the Northeast Scholarship Committee. Contact the Financial Aid Office for information and applications.

Jim and Paul Archer Science Scholarship
This scholarship was established by Drs. Jim and Paula Archer for students majoring in physical or natural science or pre-professional. Financial need and academic potential are considered. The scholarship provides $250 per semester.
Bobby Biggerstaff Criminal Justice Scholarship
His family and friends established this scholarship in memory of Bobby Biggerstaff. The scholarship is awarded to Northeast Criminal Justice majors. The scholarship provides $250 per semester.
Betty Brock Nursing Scholarship
This scholarship was established in honor of Betty Brock, Northeast's first Director of ADN program. This scholarship is provided for outstanding clinical and academic ADN or LVN students.
Matt Bynum Memorial Scholarship
His family established this scholarship in memory of Matt Bynum. The scholarship provides $150 per semester for a rodeo student. The student must maintain at least a 2.5 GPA to be eligible for the spring semester scholarship. Financial need is a consideration.
Thomas Buncombe Caldwell, III Scholarship
This scholarship was established in honor of Thomas B. Caldwell, III. The scholarship is awarded to a sophomore student with a GPA of at least 3.0. Financial need is a consideration. The scholarship provides $250 per semester.
Dr. George H. Chambers Nursing Scholarship
His family established this scholarship in memory of Dr. George Chambers. The scholarship is limited to Titus County residents who are enrolled in the ADN program. This scholarship provides $100 per semester.
Rupert and Phoebe Lou Cobb Memorial Scholarship
Their family established this endowed scholarship in memory of Rupert and Phoebe Lou Cobb through a trust set up. All students are eligible to apply regardless of major area of study. The scholarship provides $500 per academic year.
Verner L. Cornelius Scholarship
This scholarship was established in memory of Mrs. Verner L. Cornelius, a retired MPISD science teacher and one of the first members of NTCC's board of trustees. The recipient must be a college district resident, preferably a science major, though education major may be substituted. Student must have completed 18 hours with a GPA of 3.0 or greater.
Shirley Crane Memorial Nursing Scholarship
This scholarship was established in memory of Shirley Crane and will be awarded to an LVN or ADN student who resides in Mount Pleasant. The scholarship provides $100 per semester.
Ferris G. Crawford Memorial Scholarship
This scholarship was established in memory of Ferris N. Crawford by his family. This scholarship is awarded to two students from the American National Government class taught by Dr. Doug Crawford. The most valuable Democratic student and the most valuable Republican student will each receive $250 to be used in the following semester toward books, tuition, or fees. Students must be enrolled in a minimum of nine semester hours to be eligible.
Dahlia J. Gandy Nursing Mobility Scholarship
This scholarship was established in memory of Dahlia J. Gandy by her family. The scholarship is open to all nursing mobility students. Financial need as well as scholarship potential is considered. Applications are available from the Nursing Department. This scholarship provides for the cost of tuition and fees.
Scott and Ginger Griffin Memorial Scholarships
These scholarships were established in memory of Scott and Ginger Griffin by their family and friends. The scholarships provide $300 per year for two full-time theatre students. The students must maintain a 2.5 GPA to be eligible for the spring semester scholarship.
Pat Horn Memorial Scholarship
This scholarship was established in memory of Pat Horn by his family and friends. The recipient must be a Camp County resident majoring in pre-professional studies with an emphasis in the health related fields. The scholarship provides $300 per year.
Philip S. Greening History Scholarship
This scholarship was established in memory of Philip S. Greening. An essay (topic to be announced each fall semester) is required for application. This scholarship provides $100.
Phineas and Shaney Hassell Nursing Scholarship
This scholarship has been provided in honor of Phineas and Shaney Hassell to commemorate their interest in the Northeast Texas area and in the nursing field. Student must be a second semester nursing student and have a 3.0 GPA. Student must demonstrate financial need. The scholarship provides $150 per semester.
Lewis and Ina Hoppock Theatre Excellence Award
This scholarship is awarded to an outstanding sophomore theatre student. Selection of the recipient is based upon scholastic achievement and theatre excellence. The scholarship provides $250 per semester.
Jordan Health Services Nursing Scholarship
This scholarship was established by the employees of Jordan Health Services to honor their employees, Joe and Jean Jordan. The scholarship is awarded to a single parent with a strong interest in the home health field. The recipient must be a nursing student. Financial need is a consideration. The scholarship is for $300 per year.
Dr. John Kennedy LVN Nursing Scholarship
This scholarship was established in honor of Dr. Kennedy by family and friends. The scholarship is awarded to a first year nursing student with a GPA of 2.5. Recipient must be a resident of the college district.
Lake Country Chapter IAAP Scholarship
This scholarship was established by members of the Lake Country Chapter International Association of Administrative Professionals. To be eligible, a student must be a resident of Camp, Cass, Morris, Titus, or Upshur counties. The scholarship provides $250 per year to full-time students pursuing an Associate of Applied Science degree in the Professional Office Services program.
Lawler Vision Center Scholarship
Dr. L. D. Lawler established this scholarship for $1,000 per year. Financial need is required.
Lowe's Home Centers, Inc. Scholarship
Lowe's Home Centers, Inc. established five scholarships for students attending NTCC to provide educational opportunities and encourage educational development. Three of the scholarships will be general academic scholarships awarded to recipients who demonstrate both academic achievement and financial need. The two remaining scholarships will be awarded to recipients who actively pursue certification or degrees in a technological field. Each scholarship provides $1,000.
Carey and Celia McClelland Theatre Excellence Award
This scholarship is awarded to an outstanding sophomore theatre student. Selection of the recipient is based upon scholarship achievement and theatre excellence. The scholarship provides $250 per semester.
William L. (Billy) Means Honorary Scholarship
Mrs. Thelma Harling provided this scholarship to honor Mr. William (Billy) Means and to recognize his civic contributions to the Mount Pleasant area. This scholarship provides tuition and fees. Scholarships are awarded for students in the fields of Business and English. Financial need is not a consideration.
Minadeo Nursing Scholarship
This scholarship is provided by Dr. Michael Minadeo to award exceptional nursing students in the LVN or RN programs. Students must maintain a 3.5 GPA and plan to enter the nursing profession. This scholarship provides $1,000 per year.
Mary Smith Morrison Endowed Scholarship
This scholarship is provided in memory of Mrs. Mary Smith Morrison, a long-time Mount Pleasant resident and friend of education. The scholarship provides $175 per semester.
Mount Pleasant Rodeo Association Scholarship
The Mount Pleasant Rodeo Association established this scholarship. The recipient must be a member in good standing of the NTCC Rodeo Team and maintain a GPA of at least 2.5. This scholarship provides $500 per year.
Mary Bellatti Palmer Communications Scholarship
This scholarship was established in memory of Mary Bellatti Palmer by her family. This scholarship provides $250 per semester to a freshman journalism or communications major. The recipient must be a Northeast Texas resident and maintain a 2.5 GPA to receive the award for the spring semester. Student must complete 12 or more semester hours to maintain eligibility.
NTCC Foundation General Academic Scholarships
These scholarships are provided to the college by the NTCC Foundation. All students are eligible to apply regardless of major area of study. Applications and information are available in the Financial Aid Department.
B.E. Richey Memorial Math Scholarship
This scholarship was established to honor B.E. Richey. The scholarship provides $250 per semester for a math student.
Katherine C. Seale Nursing Scholarship
This scholarship was established in honor of Katherine Seale. The scholarship is awarded to a second year ADN student with a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher. Student must be a resident of Camp, Morris, or Titus counties. Financial need will be considered in the selection process.
Star Cable Company Scholarship
This scholarship was established by Star Cable Company for residents of their service area. The recipient must be a current year high school graduate and maintain a 2.0 GPA to receive the scholarship in the spring semester. Financial need is a consideration.
Tennison Memorial United Methodist Women's Scholarship
This scholarship provides $250 per semester. Students must maintain a 3.0 GPA to continue the scholarship in the spring semester.
Jeana Turner Scholarship
This scholarship was established in memory of Jeana Turner. The scholarship recipient must be a college district resident, must be a sophomore (30 hours or more), must possess at least a 3.0 GPA, and must have financial need. This scholarship provides $150 per semester.
Visual Arts Endowed Scholarship
This endowed scholarship fund was established to support visual arts scholarships. Students should contact the visual arts programs (art, drama, music) for criteria and application information.
Welch Academic Scholarship
This scholarship was established by Charles and Tamara Welch to provide $1,000 per year. Full-time students majoring in Psychology or Education are eligible.
Mr. and Mrs. William Covie Wesson Merit Scholarship
This scholarship was established to honor Mr. and Mrs. William Covie Wesson and to recognize Mr. Wesson's expertise in the field of automotive technology. Financial need is a consideration.
Florence J. Whatley Memorial Scholarship
This endowed scholarship was established by James and Elizabeth Whatley in memory of his mother. The scholarship works in conjunction with Camp Count Unites for Education Scholarship.
